Jane Creswell, MCC (above), president of iNTERNAL iMPACT and author of The Complete Idiots Guide to Coaching for Excellence, hosted four separate speaking engagements at Drexel, Tuesday, May 11-Friday, May 14, 2010. Creswell is an innovator and leader in the emerging field of internal corporate coaching. She leveraged 17 years of product development and management experience at IBM to invent the role of “organization coach” and was the founder of the “IBM Coaches Network”. At IBM, she focused her organization on achieving extraordinary results by individual coaching of leaders at all levels. Currently, Creswell is utilizing those experiences to help corporations worldwide establish a long-term, self-sustaining system of internal coaching and reap the benefits of a coaching culture. 3rd Annual Student Leadership Symposium Hosted by: Office of Campus Activities, Leadership Assistant Team, and LeBow College of Business Keynote Address: Jane Creswell, MCC, President, iNTERNAL iMPACT; Author, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Coaching for Excellence Tuesday, May 11, 2010 5:30pm-9:30pm The 3rd Annual Student Leadership Symposium is open to all Drexel students, faculty, staff, alumni and campus and community partners who are enthusiastic about educating the future leaders of tomorrow! This entirely student-run symposium provides a unique interactive experience that couples leadership education with student networking and collaboration. The symposium seeks to provide Drexel students with the tools necessary to create a hands-on experience as a gateway for personal leadership development, organizational management, team-building exercises, and event planning skills. This year’s theme is Creative Leadership: The Art of Hands-On Experiences. The symposium will provide the general student body with educational, hands-on leadership experiences that will enhance their leadership skills in their current positions or as potential leaders within their student organizations.

Bossone Research Enterprise Center (3128 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA) Drexel students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders are invited to attend a leadership lecture by Jane Creswell, author of The Complete Idiots Guide to Coaching for Excellence, and a book-signing / “meet and greet” networking reception hosted by the Office of Campus Activities and the LeBow College of Business. A book signing will be held on Thursday at 2pm on the MacAlister Patio in front of the Barnes and Noble Bookstore. Jane will present a leadership lecture at 6pm in Mitchell Auditorium in the Bossone Center, with a book signing and networking reception to follow. This keynote address, entitled “Building Skills on Top of Strengths”, is one of the culminating events of Drexel’s Spring Leadership Weeks. Presenter Bio: Jane Creswell is an innovator and leader in the emerging field of internal corporate coaching. She leveraged 17 years of product development and management experience at IBM to invent the role of “Organization Coach” and become the founder of IBM Coaches Network. At IBM, she focused her organization on achieving extraordinary results by individual coaching of the leaders at all levels of the organization. Currently, Ms. Creswell is utilizing those experiences to help corporations worldwide wanting to establish a long-term, self-sustaining system of internal coaching and reap the benefits of a coaching culture. Her focus is on helping leaders make the high impact transition from merely influencing others to developing excellent leaders who develop excellent leaders. Her work can be characterized as maximizing the strengths and knowledge of individuals for the benefit of both the person and the organization. She has worked with executives and head coaches in several corporations including: SAS Institute, Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, Northrop Grumman, Cisco Systems, Oracle, and IBM. In 2009, she was the managing director for Purdue University’s Organizational Leadership Development Lab. Ms. Creswell enjoys speaking at conferences to inspire other corporate coaches and corporate employees. Multiple articles have been published about her internal coaching work.
